JULIE BIAGGI, LCSW & Clinical supervisor

Julie Biaggi is a licensed clinical social worker with over twenty years of clinical practice working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Prior to working at TLA, Julie worked at UCLA for almost 14 years in a variety of clinical settings that included the UCLA Pediatric Liver Transplant Team, UCLA Child Partial Hospitalization Program (ABC), UCLA Behavioral Health Services with undergraduate and graduate students and the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine Behavioral Wellness Center. Additionally, she has provided individual therapy in a private practice setting since 2013.

Julie has completed training in various modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma (CPT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness.

Julie earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Denver and her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Colorado State University. With a warm and relational approach, Julie provides a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore life’s challenges, develop strengths and personalized strategies for growth and healing. Julie believes in the power of human connection and strives to build trusting relationships in her practice that help navigate life with resilience and courage. Julie is passionate about social justice and advocacy, and actively works to promote equity and inclusion.
