LAURA TWERSKY, LCSW

Laura Twersky is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Co-Founder of TLA therapy with over ten years experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Prior to working full-time at TLA, Laura worked at the UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Program providing individual and group therapy to young adults, adults, and older adults. Laura has a passion for helping her clients overcome their inner critics and live a life with less suffering. She has a special interest in working with men across the lifespan as well as clients that struggle with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and emotion dysregulation problems.

She has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT).

Laura see adolescents, adults, and older adults. She provides individual and group therapy at TLA.

Laura holds a Master's degree in Social Work from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan.
